Payment and Refund Policy

Payment and Refund Policy

Last updated: 8 October 2026

Scope of This Policy

This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of digital courses and related professional resources offered through presscorvo. The services covered include access to materials on studio equipment setup, dynamic camera operation, lighting techniques, sound wave management, and the creation of efficient workflows for television news and live productions. It governs transactions made by customers in the United Kingdom and explains how payments are processed and under what circumstances refunds may be issued.

Prices, Currencies, Taxes and Additional Charges

All prices on the website are displayed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and include value added tax (VAT) at the prevailing UK rate where applicable. No additional charges apply for standard access to digital content. However, if a customer requests customised training materials or extended support beyond the standard package, separate fees may be quoted and confirmed in writing before any charge is made. Currency conversion fees charged by banks or card issuers remain the responsibility of the purchaser.

Accepted Payment Methods, Authorisation and Security

We accept major credit and debit cards, PayPal and bank transfers for course purchases. Payments are authorised in real time through secure third-party processors that comply with PCI DSS standards. Card details are never stored on our systems. By submitting payment information you authorise us to charge the full amount due. Any declined transactions will be notified immediately and access to the course will not be granted until payment is successfully completed.

Order Confirmation and Contract Formation

Once you complete the checkout process and receive an order confirmation email, a binding contract is formed between you and presscorvo. The confirmation email contains details of the purchased course, the amount paid and access instructions. You should retain this email for your records. Access to the digital content is provided immediately after successful payment unless otherwise stated.

Cancellation Rights and Applicable Periods

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have the right to cancel most distance contracts within 14 days of the order confirmation without giving a reason. However, because our courses consist of digital content, this right is lost once you begin downloading or streaming the materials. If you have not started accessing the content, you may cancel within the 14-day period by contacting us using the details below.

Refund Eligibility, Exclusions and Non-Refundable Items

Refunds are available only where a customer has not accessed the digital content and cancels within the statutory 14-day period. Once a course has been downloaded or viewed, it becomes non-refundable. Promotional bundles, gift vouchers and any customised add-on services are also excluded from refund. We do not provide refunds for change of mind after the cooling-off period or for failure to complete the course due to personal circumstances.

Step-by-Step Procedure to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email [email protected] with the subject line “Refund Request” and include your order number, full name, and the email address used for purchase. You must also confirm in writing that you have not accessed or downloaded any part of the course. We will acknowledge receipt of your request within two working days.

Inspection, Approval, Rejection and Notification of Decision

Upon receiving a refund request we will verify that no content has been accessed. If the request meets the eligibility criteria, we will approve the refund and notify you by email within five working days. If we determine that content has already been accessed or that the request falls outside the policy, we will reject the request and provide a clear explanation. All decisions are final once communicated.

Refund Method, Processing Time and Receipt of Funds

Approved refunds are returned using the original payment method. Credit or debit card refunds typically appear on your statement within five to ten working days, while PayPal refunds are usually processed within three working days. Bank transfers may take up to seven working days depending on your financial institution. We will send a confirmation email once the refund has been issued.

Special Rules for Digital Content and Subscriptions

Because our offerings are digital, the 14-day cooling-off period ends as soon as you start accessing the materials. We do not offer subscriptions; all courses are sold as one-time purchases with lifetime access unless otherwise specified at the time of sale. Promotional discounts cannot be applied retrospectively and are non-refundable once the purchase is complete.

Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks and Suspected Fraud

If a payment fails, you will receive an automatic notification and must retry or use an alternative method. Duplicate charges caused by technical errors will be investigated and refunded promptly upon verification. Chargebacks or suspected fraudulent activity will be reported to the relevant authorities and may result in immediate suspension of access. We reserve the right to withhold refunds where fraud is reasonably suspected.

Mandatory Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 or UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. These rights cannot be excluded or limited by contract. If you believe your statutory rights have been infringed, you may seek redress through the courts or an alternative dispute resolution provider.

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in law or business practices. The current version will always be available on our website with the last-updated date clearly displayed.
